چکیده

The objective of this paper is to develop Arduino based Multi Agent System (MAS) for advanced demand side management of a solar micro-grid. High penetration of renewable energy resources needs new coordination and control approaches to meet the stochastic nature of the environment and dynamic loadings. We use Multi Agent System for advanced distributed, autonomous energy management of the micro-grid to dynamically and fl exibly adapt to the changes in the environment. We consider a micro-grid which contains two solar Photo Voltaic (PV) system, local consumer, and a battery. We develop a simulation model in Java Agent Development Environment (JADE) for dynamic energy management, which choose the best possible action every hour to stabilize and optimize the solar micro-grid. Furthermore, environment variables are sensed through Arduino microcontroller and given to agents of MAS. The resulting actions are refl ected in the LED out puts which can be readily deployed in the actual fi eld.

Enhancement of Voltage/Frequency Stability in an Autonomous Micro Energy Grid with Penetration of Wind Energy Using a Parallel Fuzzy Mechanism

The main objective of this paper is to model and optimize the parallel and relatively complex FuzzyP+FuzzyI+FuzzyD (FP+FI+FD) controller for simultaneous control of the voltage and frequency of a micro-grid in the islanded mode. The FP+FI+FD controller has three parallel branches, each of which has a specific task. Finally, as its name suggests, the final output of the controller is derived fro...

Hardware in Loop of a Generalized Predictive Controller for a Micro Grid DC System of Renewable Energy Sources

In this paper, a hardware in the loop simulation (HIL) is presented. This application is purposed as the first step before a real implementation of a Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) on a micro-grid system located at the Military University Campus in Cajica, Colombia. The designed GPC, looks for keep the battery bank State of Charge (SOC) over the 70% and under the 90%, what ensures the bes...
